Stump Grinding
Picture
Stump grinding can be a complicated process.  Find out more about the benefits and hazards of stumps. The process for stump grinding is far less intrusive.  We will put a piece of equipment on the property and position it at the stump.  We will put a shield up to protect any home or asset nearby.  Then will grind it down past the dirt line and fill the hole.
Stump Removal

Stump removal is an intensive process.  Find out more about this option. The process for stump removal is quite intrusive.  The process includes mapping out the roots and making a mess in order to access the entire root but heavy equipment is in involved.  The equipment can traverse the property in order to access the root then pull it out leaving a gaping hole (we'll take care of it).

Pruning and trimming is vital for the tree's health as well as surrounding areas.  When is the Best Time of Year to Prune Trees?  There is never a bad time to remove dead, damaged or diseased branches. But most trees benefit from pruning in mid to late winter. It's ideal to Prune tree when they are dormant.  Pruning in this stage encourages new growth as soon as the weather begins to warm. Note that some trees will bleed sap when pruned during late winter.  For example, pruning maple trees in winter is ideal but can result in bleeding. However the sap will stop when leaves begin to grow

When to remove a tree isn't always that obvious... until it's on the car. Tree removal is the most hazardous aspect of arboriculture. Often, tree workers must remove trees growing in confined spaces near houses, utility lines and other sensitive areas. Tree removal requires considerable expertise to successfully perform this task.
At Thornton Tree Care, our arborists are highly trained to work safely and efficiently in all tree removals. We provide thorough clean up of debris and strive to minimize the impact to surrounding vegetation.
Tree Removal
Tree removal is not a service we like to emphasize, but it is a very necessary part of arboriculture and one that Thornton Tree Care executes professionally and safely. Our goal is, and has always been, to provide services that keep trees healthy, but there are instances when removal is the best alternative for the landscape and homeowner.

As part of the tree removal process, the stump will typically be left as close to the ground as possible. If needed, removal of the stump can be provided. Stump removal can be challenging and often special machinery is required, but it may be necessary if the stump is a hazard in the landscape or simply an eyesore. Stump grinding by a professional is the easiest and safest way to handle this work.
